Began in 1887 with a view also expressed by the Faculty of Humanities, to equip itself with scientific laboratories to teach the experimental archeology. The casts first purchased by teachers, especially Gherardo Gherardini, Confucius, and later Marine Silvio Ferri, are chosen among the finest examples of classical Greek sculpture.
